Spring Flink 5k-Peterborough, NH


Week 20 March 29-April 4
Sunday- 15 miles at 8:16 pace
Monday- 0
Tuesday- 9 miles at 8:03 pace
Wednesday- 8 miles at 7:27 pace with 8x3 minute pick-ups (3 minute recovery)
Thursday- 7 miles at 8:16 pace
Friday- 4 miles at about 8:45 pace
Saturday- Spring Fling 5k in 19:35
          18 minute warm up, 17 minute cool down
Total miles : 50
Comments: I’m glad I got in a 15 mile long run. I’d like to get up to at least one 16 or 17 mile run before the half marathon. I’m satisfied with my 5k. I definitely wanted to get under 20 minutes, though it would have been nicer to have run faster than my last 5k. Can I use the excuse that I was nursing Isaac up until we were starting the race? I definitely recommend racing when you have an infant- you can always use him as an excuse for not doing as well as you hoped. :) I have a race on April 11 that I want to run a bit faster - hopefully low 19’s.
